Meet The Herd

GET TO KNOW THE HORSES AND PONIES AT THE HEART OF EVERYTHING WE DO.

Each member of our herd has their own personality, story and role on the farm.

From confidence-giving ponies to more experienced rides, our horses help riders learn, grown and connect – both in and out of the saddle.

The Role of Our Herd

Our horses are at the centre of everything we do.

They support:

  • Riding lessons for children and adults
  • Trail rides through the countryside
  • Equine assisted wellbeing sessions
  • Confidence building and skill development

Each horse is carefully matched to the rider or participant, ensuring a safe, positive and rewarding experience.

Meet Them in Person

The best way to get to know our herd is to spend time with them.

Jasmine

Gentle, intuitive, and confidence-giving, Jasmine naturally tunes into each person she works with — from beginners to more experienced riders. Calm and steady, she offers reassurance both in the saddle and on the ground, making her a valued part of our wellbeing sessions.

Mario

Chilled and relaxed, Mario is a calming and confidence-giving ride, especially for nervous riders. With his steady nature, he helps build trust while still having a more energetic side when asked. He enjoys the simple things — a good scratch and plenty of grass.

Desmond

Perfectly suited to wellbeing sessions, Desmond has a natural ability to tune into those around him. He enjoys being part of a herd — both animal and human — and brings a quiet sense of connection. Best friends with Mario and Harry, he also enjoys the trails and shows a playful side when jumping.

Angel

Our trail queen, Angel is a slightly older girl who enjoys her own space and is just as happy heading out solo as she is in company. Calm, steady, and reliable, she is a great choice for both beginners and more experienced riders.

Ellie Mae

Gentle and affectionate, Ellie Mae is a true people horse who enjoys spending time with those around her. She loves a good scratch and quickly builds a bond, making her a favourite on the trails and in Pony Club lessons.

Harry

Big personality in a small horse, Harry is a fantastic lead rein pony and a real confidence giver for children. Full of charm, he knows how handsome he is and is happiest spending time with his best friends Mario and Desmond.

More of the Herd…..

Alongside these, the rest of our herd each bring their own character to life on the farm.

Millie is a trusted trail horse, while Dasha offers a rewarding ride for those developing their skills. Peppermint, our mounted games pony, is full of energy and always enjoys a good gallop.

Rita, our wee rescue, continues to grow in confidence with the support of Tia, a younger horse at the beginning of her ridden journey. Whiskey, our gypsy cob, enjoys both lessons and trail rides as he continues his development.

And then there are Peanut and Goose — the babies of the yard — just starting out on their own journeys.

Each one plays a part in the life of the farm and the experiences we share.

The Pygmy Goats & Farm Animals

Our pygmy goats are full of character and always a favourite with visitors. Curious, playful, and often up to mischief, they bring a sense of fun and lightness to life on the farm.
Alongside them, our sheep play an important role in the rhythm of the farm, particularly during lambing season — a special time that reflects the working nature of the land and the changing seasons.

Come and Meet Them for Yourself

Whether you’re riding, taking part in an experience, or simply visiting the farm, spending time with the animals is at the heart of it all.
