Our Equine Assisted Services (EAS) offer a unique, nature-based approach to supporting emotional wellbeing, confidence and personal development.

Working alongside horses in a calm, outdoor environment, participants are supported to slow down, reconnect and develop practical tools for everyday life.

No riding experience is required – all sessions are ground-based and guided at a pace that feels safe and comfortable.

What Are Equine Assisted Services?

Equine Assisted Services are guided, ground-based experiences with horses designed to support emotional wellbeing, personal development and learning.

Horses are highly responsive animals, offering immediate, honest feedback that helps participants build awareness, confidence and connection in a natural and non-judgemental way.

Meet Your Facilitator

Pauline Lusby is a trained Equine Assisted Services Practitioner with over 18 years’ experience working with children, young people and adults.

  • AAHEP Registered Practitioner
  • Level 7 PGCert in Equine Assisted Services (in progress)
  • Experienced in delivering programmes across education, community and wellbeing settings

Sessions are delivered in a safe, supported and inclusive environment tailored to each individual or group.

A Unique Setting in the Faughan Valley

Located just outside Derry/Londonderry, our programmes take place on a 30-acre working farm surrounded by countryside.

Participants engage with:

~A herd of 16 horse

~Sheep and pygmy goats

~Indoor and outdoor spaces

~A calm, private rural environment

FAQs

Do you need horse experience?

No – no prior experience is needed.

These sessions support wellbeing and personal development but are not a replacement for clinical therapy.

No – all sessions are ground-based.  We focus on connection and interaction with the horses from the ground.  As sessions progress, we can explore the option of horse riding if it feels suitable.

Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear.

We work with children, young people and adults.
